I've been asked to generate a list of all proper nouns (names,
battles, rivers, towns, cities blah blah blah), and their page
numbers, to help the author build an index (no, he's not going to
employ a pro-indexer).

No one's offered to pay for the time spent picking through this book
(and you should just see what a mess his Word files are in -- I'm
having to sort out paragraph styles and character styles word by word,
and his tables -- bleahhhhhhh!!!) and its trillion proper nouns. I've
seen a plugin called Sonar Bookends Index which seems to indicate that
it will generate just such an index list and wondered if anyone here
knows this plugin well and if it's worth $195. I daresay the dollar to
pound sterling rate is not in my favour of course!!!!!!!!!!
