Bookman is a highly legible font and is used by Lighthouse for the Blind in its publications directed at its sight-challenged clients. No font puts as much ink on the page as Bookman. The only disadvantage is that it does take up a tad more room than other fonts; for any given size of this typeface you will get less characters per inch than most other faces.
