I work at a real estate investment company that puts together marketing packages for investors and lenders. After a 2+ year absence from working on InDesign books at my job (long story but don't ask why) I am about to jump back into the fray by working on a mock offering memorandum. I've been told by our team leader that we need to all be on the same page when it comes to using style sheets but have come to find out that some people put more emphasis on character styles while others put more emphasis on paragraph styles. My questions is this - Is a long document for InDesign better suited to have more paragraph styles or character styles? Because of the bullets and bold characters before a set of plain text I would think that paragraph styles are better but I wanted to get everyone else's opinion.
