I just noticed this when using ID's dynamic spelling. ID underlines a word (indicating a misspelling) that ends a sentence followed by a footnote. AND, just for good measure, ID underlines the footnote number, too! However, ID doesn't underline a word that ends a sentence if a quotation mark follows the period and then the FN, nor does ID flag a word that is followed by a comma and then the FN. Just, apparently, a FN after a period.
I'll send it in as a minor bug.
