I am able to find out the total nos of textframes on a given layer;
var CountFrames= myDoc.layers.item("Layer 1").textFrames.length;
alert ("Totoal TF count "+CountFrames);
But how can I find a "layer name" of selected textframe.
something like this:
var myTextFrame=app.selection[0];
var myLayerName=myTextFrame.parent.name;
alert ("layer name is "+myLayerName);
It Gives me the no. 1152?????
var myLayerName=myTextFrame.parent.layers.item[0].name; or var myLayerName=myTextFrame.parent.layers.name;
is incorrect.
