I distributed for corrections a comment-enabled PDF file that was basically in order, but one of the people it was sent to reported an oddity in it that I didn't understand and was thus unable to explain. I extracted the page, it's at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1107821/akademioj.pdf (532KB).
The guy said there was an invisible character between the J and o in the bold Jouka (line 24 on the page) that made it impossible to find it using the search function. There is indeed something odd, but I don't know what it is.
- With the normal text tool selected, the cursor disappears when I cursor to the right of the space following "prof.", and the page jumps down if its bottom isn't already visible in the screen. The cursor reappears in the normally expectable position when I cursor right again.
- When I copy the text and paste it into a text file, there's a character between the J and the o all right, but it seems to be a normal word space or to have been converted to one.
- When I put the touchup text tool to it, there doesn't seem to be anything out of the usual at all.
Does anyone have an explanation for this?
Thanks,
Roy
