I have six linked photos in a bulletin and want to touch all of them up a little before sending the job off. The GUI doesn't provide a way to open them all up automatically, does it?
Shouldn't be hard to script. Just need to find out how to script opening a single linked file... Didn't find it in the scripting dictionary using "open", guess it's "edit" then... edit original link. But what's "link" here? There's no "link" in properties of selection. But "links" yields a list of the six "links", e.g.
link id 1490 of image id 3823 of rectangle id 361 of group id 379 of page id 353 of spread id 342 of document "eo en afriko n-ro 12_b.indd" of application "Adobe InDesign CS4"
so I try
tell document 1 of application "Adobe InDesign CS4" edit original every link end tell
and bingo.
