The double-click to toggle between black arrow and white arrow was introduced in CS3 (I think). If you have an object selected with the black arrow, a double-click switches to the white arrow. At that point, you're talking to the FRAME. One more *click* [I typed "double-click" in earlier post; that is incorrect], and now you're talking to the GRAPHIC. One more double-click, and you're back to the black arrow, talking to the whole shebang.
