Sorry about that last message - I'm not used to mailing lists.
I have just taken an enormous leap of faith from Pagemake 7 to CS4 InDesign. I am a self taught user of Pagemaker and don't try too many 'technical' things. Create some text, apply a style, place some images and send it off to be printed.
My environment - Windows7 on a DELL Laptop.
My Problem - when I use the 'Enter' key, InDesign jumps into 'Overset' or the next text frame. I've tried the Shift+Enter and it produces the same outcome.
It is all very fundamental and I'm unable to focus on other things when I can't create a simple paragraph break or a line break.
Any and all suggestions are most welcome.
Happy New Year from Australia where it is almost noon on New Years Day.
