This is a pretty good group topic, I think. What are "safe" changes for a universal cleanup script? I've already started the list off with trailing spaces (which by the way can and should be more refined than the simple {find what:" \r"} {change to:"\r"} in the original ID sample script - I thought I had a pattern that included tabs and other kinds of spaces, but apparently I don't).
Or maybe they're all safe, other than maybe the two I mentioned...?
