This is precisely the elegant solution I was hoping for. Works like a charm.
And BTW, to the gentleman who berated me for staying with good old CS, I'm 60 and I still work OK. The program which generates the music files I typeset is from ca. 1980, runs under DOS, and is still the program of choice for the world's leading music publishers (and it works bloody marvellously!).
The marriage of Score and InDesign is a marriage from heaven. Score delivers state-of-the-art .eps files and InD places them superbly on pages.
So don't give me that consumerist crap about having to stay up-to-date with the latest-and-greatest. When you grow up you will discover that all that is new is not necessarily better.
As a matter of fact I have CS3, but find that CS is actually better and faster for what I'm doing. Don't be beguiled by the constant need for upgrading. Sometimes the authors of the original version were profoundly right.
Best wishes, Alan
